More than 100 pilots from all over Germany are currently organizing an airlift to Ukraine for medical supplies. The European Danube Academy in Ulm supports the pilots.

More than 100 pilots are taking part in the campaign, as Silke Hammer, spokeswoman for Ukraine Air Rescue, told SWR. In their spare time, the pilots fly mainly medicines and medical equipment to the Polish-Ukrainian border on a voluntary basis: goods that are needed quickly and cannot be transported safely by land.
