In this special coronavirus situation, in which the International Danube Festival Ulm\/Neu-Ulm had to be canceled, the aim was to use creativity, digital formats and targeted reporting to preserve the message of the Danube as a cultural and human connecting force: The river as a symbol of European cooperation. With this in mind, from 03.07. until 02.08.2020 “Danube stories” offered. The donaub\u00fcro ulm\/neu-ulm was in charge of part 1 and the European Danube Academy was in charge of part 2 (26.07-02.08.).<\/p>\n

Danube Stories Part 2 comprised two literary evenings with music in Cafe Gustav, four live broadcasts in the Ulm Museum to the cultural capitals of the region – Rijeka (Croatia), Timisoara (Romania), Novi Sad (Serbia) and Veszprem (Hungary), talks with artists from Ulm and BW who come from these countries or have worked on cultural projects there, as well as concerts and guided tours of the “Art on the River” exhibition.<\/p>\n

All participating artists: “Die Drahtzieher”\/ Bobby Guttenberger Trio (music group, BW), Arnold Schlachter (writer, RO), Can Togay (filmmaker, writer, HU), Isabella Ma\u0161i\u0107 (visual artist, RS), Ivana Kalc (dance artist, HR), Joseph Kelemen (musician, conductor, BW\/HU), Lumenita Ciuflea (visual artist, BW\/RO), Michael Moravek (guitarist, BW), Miroslav Tancik (photographer, BW\/RS), Monika Bothe (musician, BW), Peter Heeg (actor, BW), Peter Schwaderer (musician, BW), Reiner Schlecker (visual artist, BW), Sabine Geller (author, BW), Thomas Zehender (publisher\/author, BW), Vasile Bedreaga (visual artist, BW\/RO).<\/p>\n
